the blonde leading the blind

ann romney

the right likes to call her “the smart one”, or the “one that’s in touch with women”, or the “best thing” about our boy mittens …
really? …
wow, aim low or what …
her own nanny, the one that “raised” her as a child fondly remembers a girl who never did anything …
never lifted a finger …
the nanny even brushed and cared for ann’s pony …
and we all know how many day’s she put in at the office since she married mittens …
and this is the lady the gop thinks would make a great first lady? …
and a great example to american working women and moms everywhere? …
now, granted, she is twice as charming and well spoken as her hubby, but if I remember my elementary school math, 2 X 0 equals 0, so again, we’re aiming low here kids …
and I won’t even get into her obvious sense of entitlement every time she gets her perfectly coiffed hair and salon managed face near a microphone …
now don’t get me wrong, personally, I have nothing against ann, she seems like a nice lady …
if you like your ladies really, really rich, really self entitled, really disingenuous, and out of touch with reality and the world around them, but do we really want to see her in the white house? …
now to be fair, she does seem to be the perfect match for mr. pink slip …
they’re both born and raised with a silver spoon in their mouths, they both look great (which makes sense seeing as neither has ever had a day of worry in their lives, and they can afford the best personal care and products), and they both have that vacuous, above it all, entitled and clueless air about them that’s so important to the job they are applying for …
well … maybe if they were applying for prom king and queen at the 1% ball …
c’mon america …
wake up and smell the coffee …
or in this case, a premium roast, very exclusive blend, available only at your finest bistro …

ann hard work

what with telling the maids and servants and nannies what to do, and when to do it …
phew, that must have been exhausting work indeed …
I know, my mom raised two boys on her own, and she was exhausted all the time, and she didn’t even have to worry about any damn servants or nannies …
and not once did she ever have to decide which cadillac to drive or which beach house we were going to stay at …
poor ann, I can’t even imagine how hard it must have been on you …

annromneystayathomemmom

now where did I put those damned cadillacs? … hmmm ….

and my own personal fave …

during an interview with baltimore radio station WBAL, during which the host asked her, “and one of the things, ann romney, that folks talk about with your husband, mitt romney, and i’ve seen him in casual conversation …
he comes off very smooth and okay … but sometimes he comes off stiff” …

ann responded, “well, you know, I guess we better unzip him and let the real mitt romney out, because he is not!”

NOTE: … no, ann, please don’t …
think of the children …
err, think of the maids, thinking of the children ….

even her friends and supporters are, well, a little clueless and out of touch …
and maybe even a little homophobic …
(wait, did I just hear a dog whistle? … hmm, odd, I didn’t see any dogs …)

even anns friends are clueless

because, as everyone knows, those adopted” kids just raise themselves …

  and her latest gem …

speaking at a republican gathering in stamford, at the connecticut republican party’s prescott bush awards dinner
you all remember prescott, right? …
he was the bush that was “banker to the nazis” …

ann romney alluded to the fact that not all women can stay at home saying, “I love the fact that there are women out there who don’t have a choice and they must go to work and they still have to raise the kids. Thank goodness that we value those people too. And sometimes life isn’t easy for any of us.”                from buzzfeed

can you imagine if it had been michelle obama who had made any of these remarks? …
they’d still be peeling billo the clown and hannity the manatee off the roof ….
and glenn beck and michele malkin’s heads just would have exploded … live on air …

NOTE:
yes, I know she has battled breast cancer and suffers from MS, and that is admirable, hard and horrible, and I wouldn’t wish it on any one, but, I personally know a couple of women who have battled these and worse and they’ve never played that card as an excuse for acting elitist, pompous, self serving, entitled, or holier than thou …
ever …
in fact, if anything, it seems to have made them more down to earth, more empathetic and stronger as people …
and for that I love them more, and respect them no end …
just sayin’ …
plus I just can’t trust anyone who wears “magic underwear”
